Today's the day - launch day for the latest in the Psychic Surveys series - Old Cross Cottage!
A place with a very chequered history (and once an Inn), I've drawn on fact and weaved in and around it a work of fiction - and certainly all those who've stayed here have either 'seen' or 'heard' things that can very much be considered outside of normal and i.e. paranormal. These are expressed by owner of the cottage, Rachel Bell, in Chapter Two - leading Ruby to investigate a case that has its roots deep in village history. The village that that cottage itself is set in is very historic but I've changed the name in order to protect its privacy - suffice to say it is in Dorset, and set on a crossroads, tapping into all that wonderful mythology that clings to such a location...
The descriptions of the cottage too are real - including the coffin lid stairs, the hook in the living room, the in between room and those deep set windows - here's a few interior pics:
