Ready for the Next Adventure?
Today's the day - launch day for the latest in the Psychic Surveys series - Old Cross Cottage!
A place with a very chequered history (and once an Inn), I've drawn on fact and weaved in and around it a work of fiction - and certainly all those who've stayed here have either 'seen' or 'heard' things that can very much be considered outside of normal and i.e. paranormal. These are expressed by owner of the cottage, Rachel Bell, in Chapter Two - leading Ruby to investigate a case that has its roots deep in village history. The village that that cottage itself is set in is very historic but I've changed the name in order to protect its privacy - suffice to say it is in Dorset, and set on a crossroads, tapping into all that wonderful mythology that clings to such a location...
The descriptions of the cottage too are real - including the coffin lid stairs, the hook in the living room, the in between room and those deep set windows - here's a few interior pics:
Ready for the next adventure with Ruby and the team? Here's the blurb…
In a quiet Dorset Village, Old Cross Cottage has stood for centuries, overlooking the place where four roads meet. Marred by tragedy, it’s had a series of residents, none of whom have stayed for long. Pink and pretty, with a thatched roof, it should be an ideal retreat, but as new owners Rachel and Mark Bell discover, it’s anything but.
Ruby Davis hasn’t quite told her partner the truth. She’s promised Cash a holiday in the country but she’s also promised the Bells that she’ll investigate the unrest that haunts this ancient dwelling. Hoping to combine work and pleasure, she soon realises this is a far more complex case than she had ever imagined.
As events take a sinister turn, lives are in jeopardy. If the terrible secrets of Old Cross Cottage are ever to be unearthed, an entire village must dig up its past.
And here's the links! Although the fourth in the series, Old Cross Cottage is a brand new case and can be read as a STANDALONE.

Last but not least thanks so much to all those involved in the publication of Old Cross Cottage - it's never a solo effort - Jeff Gardiner for his excellent editorial advice, Gina Dickerson for another wonderful cover, and my team of beta readers - Rob, Louisa, Lesley, Sarah, Gail, Vee, Alicen, Julia and the very lovely Rachel Bell (the owner of the cottage) - all of whom help to shape every story I write.
I hope you enjoy it!
