About me
Born and bred in Brighton, UK, Shani Struthers is the author of thirty-one supernatural thrillers (so far), some set in various locations in England, others in more far-flung destinations such as Venice and America. Having been brought up with an understanding of the Occult and alternative views on religion, she threads this knowledge throughout her books, often drawing on real-life experiences of her own, from people she has known, and also from well-known Occult figures too. Please Note: her books tend to revolve more around PSYCHOLOGICAL HORROR. You won't find gore, vampires, werewolves, or zombies in her fiction. Her various paranormal series have proved highly popular, including Psychic Surveys, This Haunted World, Reach for the Dead and the Jessamine series. She has also written a set of Psychic Surveys Companion Novels and has a penchant for a Christmas Ghost story, having now written five of them: Eve, Carfax House, The Damned Season, Wildacre, and Alice. For something a little different, there's Summer of Grace, a murder mystery thriller, set in the dark heart of Kansas. All her books have topped the Amazon genre charts in both the UK, US and Australia. Watch out for fantastic novels from new Brighton-based co-operative, Storyland Press. This is the place where the story comes first, regardless of genre or where it sits on the commercial/literary spectrum. We understand that sometimes we want a genre-based novel or lighter read, and other times we want something that is harder to categorise or more challenging – what ultimately matters is that it’s a GOOD story.
The brainchild of Shani Struthers and fellow-Brighton author, Corinna Edwards-Colledge, we want to offer support and promotion to other local authors and – subject to quality control – invite them to publish under the Storyland Press banner.
